The Multi-Link Doubles Plan

The Multi Link Doubles plan is a compounding staking plan, which is one of the more complicated plans, but is VERY successful. Based on the fact that you win more money if you place your winnings from one horse onto the back of another, the profits climb dramatically. This plan splits your bets into 6 horse bets, and in effect allows you to place your bets over these horses, putting double bets on them all, but does so one at a time. First of all, let's take the first 6 bets and look at the stakes.

The first bet of the series uses 5% of your Betting Bank, the 2nd uses 4%, ... and your 6th bet uses 0%. For example, based upon a Betting Bank of £100:

Selection Percentage Stake
Horse #1 5% £5
Horse #2 4% £4
Horse #3 3% £3
Horse #4 2% £2
Horse #5 1% £1
Horse #6 0% £0

You are probably thinking at this point, 'How can you bet £0.00 on a horse? All will be revealed. Given that we have the intial stakes, the first horse will run, and if we say in this example it wins at 2/1, we would have won £10. Now, the interesting part, we take that £10 and split it equally among all the remaining horses in the set, and as there are 5 horses left in the set, we add £2 to each of them:

Selection Stake Finished Winnings
Horse #1 £5 WON @ 2/1 £10.00
Horse #2 £4 + £2 = £6
Horse #3 £3 + £2 = £5
Horse #4 £2 + £2 = £4
Horse #5 £1 + £2 = £3
Horse #6 £0 + £2 = £2

Now, let us say Horse #2 comes 2nd, and the third horse wins @ 9/4. Now we do the same thing as we did on the first horse, BUT, we only allocate the winnings from the original stake, (£3) amongst the remaining horses:

Selection Stake Finished Winnings
Horse #1 £5 WON @ 2/1 £10.00
Horse #2 £4 + £2 = £6 2nd £0
Horse #3 £3 + £2 = £5 WON @ 9/4 £12.50

So, although we won £12.50 from Horse #3, we only allocate what we would have won from the original stake = £3 * 9/4 = £6.75. And as there are 3 horses left in the set, we add £6.75 / 3 = £2.25 amongst the rest.

Horse #4 £4 + £2.25 = £6.25
Horse #5 £3 + £2.25 = £5.25
Horse #6 £2 + £2.25 + £4.25

And now Horse #6, which originally had £0 to stake, has £4.25 to stake on its horse. This continues to the end of the series, and then a new series begins, again taking 5% of the current Betting Bank for the first horse, 4% etc... unless the current Betting Bank is below the Starting Bank, and in this case, take 5% of the Starting Bank.

If there comes a time when there are no winners during the first 5 bets, then there will be no stake to put on the 6th horse, and when this happens, just start a new series, starting with Horse #6 as the first horse in the new series.

Advantages
  • Not many plans are as good as this for capitalising on frequent winners.
  • You are increasing the bet size of the remaining horses by using the bookies money.
  • If you have some good priced winners, the rewards are MASSIVE.
  • You get a 'free' bet after every 5 bets, (considering you have had at least 1 winner from those 5).
  • You are making 'double' bets but over a number of days, therefore you are getting the advantage of compounding your profits, but not having to pick 6 horses a day in order to make the bet.
Disadvantages
  • If you have 1 winner over 6 races, you will win nothing, as all the profit gets ploughed into the other horses.
  • If you have a high priced winner, all the winnings will be ploughed into the remaining bets, putting greater pressure on these bets winning.
  • This plan needs frequent winners
Summary
  • Number of losing bets to halve the initial Betting Bank : 16
  • Number of losing bets to break the initial Betting Bank : 32
  • The Multi Link Doubles Plan is a MEDIUM RISK Staking Plan
